Q. What was your favorite holiday when you were a child?
A. Man, never heard tell of a holiday, that I know of. (laughter) Well, I mean, when school stopped, I used to cry, 'cause I didn't want it to stop. See that was the only thing I had to meet with people 'n see kids and things like that and so I don't know anything about a holiday.
Q. Not like Christmas or Easter?
A. Oh well, they was Christmas that used to come but, the Christm, the Christmas that my mother died I mean she died in November and the step-father was suppose to take care of me. But he, he put me outdoors, you know, said I couldn't stay there any more. And Christmas Day I never even had a dinner or anywheres' to stay or anything. So, I didn't have a very good life.
