The Building Department Operates within the Municipality of the District of Digby. The Municipality has in place a building by-law which supplements the Provincial Code National Building Code. The office employs two full time inspectors and a secretary. Other duties include issuing civic numbers and maintains records, dangerous or unsightly properties, complaints and the inspection and maintenance of municipal sewer lines.
